Microsoft and the Child Exploitation and Online Protection (CEOP) Centre have launched a child-friendly version of the Internet Explorer browser. The special version of Internet Explorer offers direct access to CEOP's advice pages and is part of the Click Clever Click Safe campaign launched by the government in December 2009. You can either simply add the Click CEOP button to your existing Internet Explorer 8 installation or download the Click Clever, Click Safe, Click CEOP Browser from the CEOP website. Matthew Bishop of Microsoft said: "Internet Explorer 8 Click Clever Click Safe has been designed with the sole purpose of providing young people and parents with easy ways of finding information on how to stay safer online." |
