Facebook recently admitted that it had to fix a bug that allowed users to access other user's photos, regardless of whether their profile page settings refused this.

Facebook openly admits that a glitch in the reporting tool in the system caused this, but claims that only a limited number of users were affected, although they wouldn't reveal an exact number.

The glitch enabled users to use the 'report this' function to see photos that they wouldn't usually be able to see.

Facebook reaffirms its commitment to data privacy, stating that the integrity of user data was their "top priority". They confirm that the system was disabled immediately after the bug was discovered and will be fully functional again once it has been confirmed that the bug has been fixed.
